Gary Fuhrman
Gary Fuhrman is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GF Capital Management & Advisors, LLC, a New York based merchant banking firm founded in 2001 that makes principal investments in operating companies primarily in the media and consumer product sectors. Current and past investments include Tommy Hilfiger Group, Warner Music, Oscar de la Renta, Blue Man Group, 300 Entertainment, GF Sports, Jonathan Adler, Airborne, and Kino Lorber.
Gary is also Chairman and the principal owner of TAG Associates Holdings, LLC, a multi-family office based in New York City with assets under management in excess of $9 billion. He has also been dedicated to youth sports for 25 years thru his ownership of Centercourt that trains over 15,000 athletes annually across its 8 multi-sport training facilities in New Jersey.
Prior to that, Gary shared oversight of Corporate Finance and Asset Management at Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder, Inc. having spent 17 years with the firm. Gary is involved with multiple charitable organizations. Among those, he is Vice Chairman of the Garden of Dreams, a foundation dedicated to bringing life changing opportunities to young people in need in partnership with MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment.
Gary was diagnosed in 2019 with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. He learned at the same time that he is a BRCA 2 carrier. Gary has become a passionate advocate, promoting male BRCA awareness and testing for men, which can save lives. Similar to most men, Gary was unaware that men could get breast cancer and be BRCA carriers, until his own diagnosis.
Gary graduated in 1983 from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics. Born in Philadelphia, Gary currently lives in New York City with his wife, Dorian, and their 3 children.
